How to Quickly and Easily Post to a Forum

Tips for Quickly and Easily Drafting Messages for the Discussion Board

    Dear all,

    1. sign-in to the forum at http://www.birthlightforum.com  (see the upper righthand corner of the web page to sign-in)

    2.  click on "forums" button in the top navigation bar of the homepage

    3.  choose which forum would be best to put your post in (e.g. posts on the topic of yoga with babies would go into the "Baby Yoga" forum).

    4.  click on that forum title to enter it.

    5.  Click on the "write a new post" button

    6.  write your post (or cut and paste from your favorite word processor - see **note below).

    7.  click on the "Post" button at the bottom of the page to publish your post.

    That's it.

** Note:  To make posting more convenient and easy you can draft your message offline on your computer in your favourite word processor (e.g. Microsoft Word for me).  Then when you have formatted it the way you want it, check spelling , etc you can go onto the forum and cut and paste it from your word processor into the forum editor and then click on the "post" button.  Voila!

Advantages are that it is easier to format your message in a word processor that you are familiar with (e.g. underlining, emboldening words, etc) as well as faster since you don't have to wait for the forum editor to respond over the internet.  Also, this way you can save a half-completed message in your word processor when you don't have time to finish a message that you are working on.  Later you can come back to it and then post it when you have finished drafting the post (which you can't do if you are working online).

If you have any questions then pleae do get in touch.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

    Hope that helps,

    Jeff
