What is the max filesize for photos?

The maximum filesize for photos on this site is 0.5megabyte (0.5 Mb).

Also, the max width for a file is 520 dpi.  There is no length restriction.

A quick and easy way on a Windows XP system to optimize a photo (e.g. from a digital camera) is to do the following:

    1.  right-click on the photo

    2.  choose "Send To" -> Mail Recipient

    3.  Your email program opens with an optimized image attached to the email (usually about 50kb filesize).

    4.  Right click on the attached photo and choose "open".

    5.  When it opens in your photo program of choice save the file to your computer's harddisk.

    6.  Now use this optimized photo to upload to your photo gallery on our site.

     Cheers,
    Jeff
