How do I get my spam filter to allow emails from Birthlight? 

If you don't seem to be getting emails from the Birthlight office or the Birthlight Disucssion forums it could be that your spam filter or firewall installed on your computer system is not letting them through.  There are many different Internet Security programs that you could be using on your computer (click on the link in this sentence to see examples - e.g. Norton Internet Security, McAfee Internet Security, Trend Micro, Webroot, etc).  Each of these programs has a spam filter or firewall and has its own method for the settings on that spam filter.  Generally every spam filter allows you to setup a list of email addresses that will always get through to you and never get blocked.  These lists are usually called "allowed lists" or "white lists".  However your allowed list works you should add birthlight to it:  Please add "www.birthlight.com" and "no-reply@birthlight.com" and support@birthlight.com to your "allowed" list so that you get emails from the Birthlight office and from the Discussion Forums.  If you are not sure how to access your "allowed list" please go to the "support" section of the web site for the spam product which you are running on your computer (e.g. if you are running Norton then go to: http://www.symantec.com/norton/index.jsp and click on "support").  There you will find articles on the topic or you should be able to speak to a technician who can walk you through it.   Most all companies offer free support.

On another related topic please note that it is important to keep your email address updated at all times so that you
don't miss any important announcements or communications from the Birthlight office. The
office will use emails to inform everyone about new, upcoming courses and other important Birthlight
information via the forum. Each user can go into their own profile on the Forum
(www.Birthlightforum.com) and members page (www.Birthlight.com) and update their own email
address at any time.
